The Ministry of Digital Transformation intends to introduce the PayPal international payment system in Ukraine and to determine the legal status of cryptocurrencies, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said at the Ministry’s presentation.

“We are currently actively working on PayPal. We understand the problem, we understand why it was not possible before. There are, in fact, big problems, but we hope that we can send the right signal and politically still solve this issue, and PayPal will work,” he said.

Fedorov also noted that determining the legal status of cryptocurrencies will help legalize activities related to them, such as buying and selling cryptocurrencies, and their mining. and will remove market players from the “gray” zone, which will be an incentive for additional revenues to the budget from tax payments.

On September 27, the Ministry of Digitization announced that within five years it will transfer the provision of all services to the digital format.
